Gaia Nuevo Mural en Montreal

Gaia estuvo recientemente en Montreal en ocasión del Mural Festival 2013 organizado en esta ciudad y para el cual pintó este nuevo mural titulado ”Á Qui Est Le Nationalisme” o algo así como El nacionalismo de quién? 

El artista explica la pieza de la siguiente manera:

 “the mural uses a Paul Kane landscape painting of the British Colombian frontier as a foundation to recreate the Quebecois flag replacing the fleur-de-lis with three aboriginal medicine masks and the portrait of former Prime Minister Rene Levesque. The ray of light that bisects the composition serves to complete the cross in the standard but also acknowledge St Laurent as the border between Anglo and Francophone culture with the words ‘Ouest’ and ‘Est’ featured prominently at the apex of the piece.”
